I've seen a number of references that explain how, after Word - specifically 2010 - automatically changes the language it's spell-checking, it can be corrected back to checking the rest in English. However, I haven't seen mention of an option to tell Word to simply stop changing the spell-check language just because it picks up on a word or phrase that isn't English. Pasting without formatting has tended to remove accents and characters that are crucial to getting the point across, and so many non-English phrases - all of them tiny - end up in the documents I have to write that this method is very impractical anyway. I do a visual spell-check on everything I write in any event, paying special attention to non-English phrases as they may be viewed by people who are much more familiar with the language than I am. As incredibly often as non-English words end up in my text, however, it's an enormous pain to have to correct the spell-checker back to English after every phrase used.
